tynamite's avatar When you look at photos of a person and they look completely different in them, does the same happen to animals? When animals look at each other, do they think, wow this animal looks completely different today.
Why does the warning labels on cigarette packets keep getting bigger but when video adverts come on youtube and tv, they are much louder than the programmes themselves, and it hurts your ears? Why don''t they make a law against that?
How do people go through 12 years of public schooling and still turn out stupid.
How do deaf people learn how to read and blind people learn how to talk? With a normal person you can show them a bottle of baby milk, say to them the word milk before giving it to them, and they associate the word milk with the bottle of milk they drink. They associate sound with visuals and visuals with sound. How can you teach a blind or death person how to communicate if they only have one?
Why does deaf culture exist? How can people truly believe it''s better being deaf?
Why do death people have swears in sign language? They don''t have the same impact.

tynamite's avatar Here are my regrets of 28 years of age.

I regret deleting songs from albums and compilations I illegally downloaded from file lockers. I could not predict that most of the file lockers would shut down. Especially Megaupload. Now I have to buy the CDs back from Discogs.

I regret deleting TS7 Sounds of the Summer 1 and 2.

I regret not downloading songs from The Guardian (my sister’s ex boyfriend) before he deleted his soundcloud account.

I regret not writing in my diary more often when I was a child. Because I was bullied in 2 schools out of 5 and lacked social skills in one, I thought my life was boring. Actually I underestimated how interesting my life actually was. There was a lot of things going on, even if I felt sad and empty.

My brother Jungle made an episode of Trending Live on 4Music that aired on the 17th of November 2018, where everyone was acting like me. I wish I had ripped the episode. If I'd of known that episode was going to air, I would have brought Debut much earlier on, so I could have ripped it.

I regret not appearing on Sky News when I had the chance. Because I had reported terrorism and tax evasion, I was scared about appearing on camera in a location near where I lived.

Not injure my younger brother by accident so he had to get surgery on his wrist. It wasn’t me who started the fight. My two younger brothers always fight me for dumb reasons and threaten me with knives, sticks and hammers and they break my possessions so I don’t speak to them. My mother allowed her kids to fight each other on a regular basis.

Not have selective mutism in primary school

Have better social skills in sixth form. I wish I had the opportunity to read the book I finished at 26 when I was 16.

Download mint 2.19 with peppers and plugins and fever before Shaun Inman stopped selling it

Download the robocreatif code before the robocreatif website shut down

Download Starz Angels music before the website shut down

Pay for Rokario Bandwidth Monitor before the website shut down

Pay for Reason 4, FL Studio 8, Albino 3, Linplug synths, DCAM Synth Squad, Arturia V Collection 2 before it stopped being sold

Pay for Barbara Kruger 5 January to 26 January, Barbara Kruger The Charisma of your gods, The Tale of Mucky Mabel, Max Cooper Emergence Atmos Edition, Pro DJ, Cutting EDJ, all the Skannerz toys, before it went out of stock.

Download all the hip hop street sound packs before the website shut down

Download more stuff from Pure Grime before the website shut down

Be better at budgeting money. I wish I never got in debt or went on spending sprees. I should have paid the rent and utility bills when I lived in Coventry when I retook the first year of university, but in 2011 I started to gradually become mentally ill. I also shouldn't have blown £6000 in 2016 but domestic abuse is a trigger for my mental health. A bad vibe causes a bad mental health for me.

Complete my university course by attending all lessons and handing in all work on time, and going to all exams. I got to my 2nd year of university instead of graduating

Not getting the freelance web development work done for Secret Hotel Collection and the horse racing odds scraper when I had the chance.

I'm not a rude person but it would be nice to have me undo saying everything I've ever said that offended someone

It would of been nice if I could have ripped tv shows and uploaded them online to preserve them for eternity, but my mother who controlled the money when I was younger, she would not have brought me the proper equipment.

The insurance of my laptop expired and once it expires it can’t be renewed. I wish that I had renewed it and updated my contact details for the insurance when I had the chance.

Yes I've been banned from various forums and chat rooms, but I didn't do anything wrong, so though I regret being banned, I don't regret what I said. The moderators are bad, I was banned unfairly. I was following the rules. I just got censored.

I would make sure that my mum didn't destroy 17 years of my intellectual property and throw away her kids possessions.

I would make sure my younger brother wouldn't break my hard drive when I was 20 and steal it at 26 so I have to call police to get it back. I would make sure my mum didn't accidentally break my hard drive when I was 16. Also I'd make sure I didn't leave my laptop and hard drive on the train accidentally. I'd also make sure that I always carried my hard drive in a hard drive case.

I wish I never had psychosis in 2013 in a bad trip and the cognitive deficits what happened before and after it. When I had my second psychotic episode in 2018 I gained my creativity and memory back. That was a good trip.

Also I wish I never lived in the property in Ward End that had a shitty landlord, support worker and housemates that burgle others.

It would be nice if I didn't accidentally lose my laptop and hard drive on a train in my first year of university by leaving it on the train after walking off the train, but luckily I had a backup of my files, and I was more careful in future. I wish I never lost my school bag when I was 11 in Year 6 as it had2 books of my writings I wanted to keep as it had my creations.

I regret not writing birthday cards for my parents, especially my mother when I lived with them as not doing so made them sad and unappreciated, and it made me look inconsiderate.

When I was around 15-18 and my mother wanted me to babysit while she went to work or university. If I tried to punish my younger brother for being violent towards his (and mine) even younger brother, she would punish me for punishing him. If I did nothing, I was punished for not doing anything. He was never punished for any violence he did to the family. Although in hindsight I was not responsible for what happened and my mum was for refusing to punish her son for being violent, it would be good if I could have handled things differently with the ability to predict or know how future events would turn out.

I wish I could have gone to do the free events that the Prince's Trust offered, but I had no idea it existed when I was young. If I had known, and had more encouragement about the services offered, I would have made full usage of all their programs that are applicable to me.

It would be nice if I could have backed up these online accounts before they deleted their account. It would also be good to have these products and these software before they stopped being sold.

tynamite's avatar You can find poverty, drugs and crime in every city.

However I notice that gentrification happening in my city. That means when the poor are socially cleansed from an area due to rising rents or the installation of luxury property. They are building luxury houses here and building a new hospital right next to an old hospital, then they will knock down the old hospital, replace it with housing, then the rents will rise around that area then people will get evicted.

Another thing that is happening is that all the greenland is being built on. In the city centre there was a large patch of greenland you could play sports on when I was in school. They built the new library on top of it, knocked down the old library, and they knocked down a shopping centre and are replacing it with a new shopping centre.

So I see gentrification, a lack of school places and the removal of greenland.

The UK has a housing crisis because the supply for housing is much higher than the demand. Because of mass immigration, there is a strain on social housing such as council houses and supported accomodation, and it's common to have HMO's, houses of multiple occupancy, where you get a landlord who rents each room in a house instead of renting the house to just one person, because mass immigration has put a strain on the housing market.

Also school class sizes are overflowing, there are not enough places to guarantee every child to have a space in school.

I also see a declining lack of social cohesion.

There's people who complain that mass immigration has made the place a much worse place to live, not just because of a strain on hospitals, housing, roads and schools, but because they feel like a stranger where they live.

In the 90s, you would ask someone, "Are you a feminist?", and they would either say yes or no. No debate. No further clarification. No explanation. Now there are so many different types of feminists, people don't know what to think any more. Feminist X is different to Feminist Y who is different to Feminist Z. How are people supposed to know whether they're a feminist or not, if every feminist thinks different things? Also in the 90s you could "cold approach" girls on the street, and they would write their phone number on your arm with a pen that they carried in their pocket, because mobile phones didn't exist. You can't do that any more. When catcalling first got invented, it was really tame and kinda polite, but now the men just shout at women, follow them down the road and intimidate them. I can see why it's not acceptable to do any more.

I see feminists complaining about rape, sexual harassment, catcalling, cold approaching, domestic abuse, objectification, traditional gender roles, rape culture, incels, cyberbullying, harassment, MRAs, pick up artists, and that's about it.

The feminists will say that they face a lot of harassment on the internet. Everyone faces harassment on the internet, male and female, but women experience it more than men do. I faced harassment and bullying on Quora. I agree with feminists on some things, but I don't agree with them on most things.

From that list in the previous paragraph, I do not believe that objectification and rape culture is real. Feminists say that Page 3 causes women to be seen as sex objects and that it's degrading. In my opinion, it is ultimately a woman's choice to do glamour modelling or do porn, and it is empowering for the woman to do so. If a woman is thought of as a sex object or good decoration, that is due to the person's attitudes in question, not some billboard advert that is using a scantily clad woman to sell a car that causes a man to think that way. The advert never made them think that way, their life experience did. People gain their political and social views due to their LIVED life experience, NOT due to some advert or youtube video or something they read on the internet. Stereotypes are real and they are hurtful, but an advert or Page 3 isn't the problem, you have to unpick the person's life experience, not the media. It should be a woman's choice to choose what she wants to wear. I also do not believe that there is a rape culture, because the vast majority of people do not endorse or condone rape. Now we have the #metoo movement which is designed to raise awareness of sexual harassment and reduce rape. Most people don't endorse or condone the abuse the women face. Also there is no pay gap. Feminists calculate the pay gap by adding up the wages of men, and the wages of women, calculating an average, then deciding that there is a pay gap because the average pay of men is more. The pay gap is a hoax, which can be explained by saying that men choose higher paying jobs and women choose lower paid jobs.

The frequency of rape is decreasing, because of the increased access to porn, which helps to control people's urges. Rape is higher in countries where porn is illegal. When VHS got invented, rape went down because people got access to porn for the first time.

When I was a child, there was no law against domestic abuse in a family or intimate relationship. Parents could abuse their defenceless children and men could abuse their women. Theresa May is a woman and a feminist, so she introduced a law to make coercive and controlling behaviour illegal, and the Domestic Abuse Bill.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/coercive-or-controlling-behaviour-now-a-crime

https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/domestic-abuse-bill

I see a lot of writers on the internet get a lot of haters. I think that to write is to provoke, and if you're not a provocative, you're not a writer. I see a lot of writers get haters because they're controversial. I think that those writers are "troll profiteers", the more trolling they do, the more money they make! It gives them more traffic, sales and ad revenue.

tynamite's avatar I think it's something you're born with genetically that you're genetically predisposed to in your DNA. There is a thing called "epigenetics" which are genes which are TURNED ON due to life events or experiences. For example, you have to TEACH your children to read, write and do math. They aren't going to learn that by themselves.

If a child does not learn how to read and write and understand language by age 5, they are NEVER going to learn it, as a child's brain has MORE neuroplasticity than an adult's brain. Crawling and walking is an instinct. Language is not an instinct. Parents are responsible for teaching their children MILESTONES, and if they do not, social services will arrest the parents for neglect.

The brain has 1 billion neurons in it. That's more neurons than there are stars in the solar system.

When a child LEARNS something, the neurons in the brain make more connections to the synapses. Learning how to ride a bike or play the piano, CHANGES the physical structure of the brain. Learning and life experiences, REWIRE the brain. Before you know how to ride a bike or play the piano, it, it is VERY hard and it takes MONTHS to learn. Once you know how to do it, it is easy and you can do it without even thinking about it - like instinct. You don't have to think about how to walk. A toddler does. They are always dropping things, falling over, and have bad gait.

My magician brother told me, while he was talking to me about magic, that "repetition" is a form of hypnosis. If you are doing the same thing over and over again, technically you are in a trance engaging in hypnotic actions. When you drive a car, you are NOT thinking about what gear you will put the manual car on. You are NOT thinking about how to alter your speed. You just do it naturally.

When you walk down the street, you have a "gait", and criminals and beggars will look at people's "gait's" to determine who to approach. You can't change your gait. It happens naturally. Walking, driving, cycling and playing a musical instrument is a form of hypnosis.

Now what I think, is that people with MPD have a genetic predisposition to it in their DNA, but "stressors" from their environment turns the genes on.

Scientists are even finding out that bacteria in your immune system affect your mood I read an article about that in BBC News. Child abuse also REWIRES the brain. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-43815370

Look at it this way. There are MILLIONS of people WORLDWIDE living in dictatorships, communist countries, mental hospitals, hospices and care homes, wars, poverty, refugee camps - and you DON'T see them develop multiple personality disorder. Why do only LESS THAN 1% of people in those situations develop MPD. Because it's genetic.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
