Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)
An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.
Richer people have better health.
The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?
And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
Also IBM took a chance on three unknown students who became the founders of Microsoft, by distributing Windows on their PCs - as IBM made the first ever PC. IBM didn't understand operating systems as they were new at the time or predict them to be powerful, and they saw them as regular CD-ROMs and floppy disk software that you buy in a box and have fun with, so they didn't ask for the licensing rights for Windows.
