Answer if you know the answer. Don't answer if you don't.

Can the answer easily be answered by Google in 5 minutes?

Is it a subjective question?
Do you think your answer to the question will help other Quora users [in their lives] who come across this question in the future?
If yes, answer the question. If no, you are probably not suited to answer the question, due to lack of credible judgement, knowledge or experience. Just upvote the good answers instead.

Is the question a personal survey question?
By personal (not objective), I mean a question of which everyone can have a unique answer to, such as What do Quorans see when they look out of their windows at home?. If you get such a question of which only you could know the answer to about yourself, answer it.

Is the question possibly offensive and about you?
Do you think your behaviour and response to the question, can possibly set a good example to others who come across your answer to the question, for how they should behave, if they happen to receive a request to answer the same question?
If yes, answer the question.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
