tynamite's avatar Asking whether you're missing out my not believing in God, is like asking whether you're missing out by not having children, not increasing your karma, or not smiling at people. Whether you want to do something to give your life direction, that'll make other people happy, is all about how you feel and what you want to get out of life.

You'll never see me blame things on God or ask him to solve my problems. That's what you're here for, and myself, to solve my problems. Some people I know would suggest you take some drugs, to give you perspective and have your head in the clouds. I suggest you live a life with no regrets, so you can die happy not wishing you never did something. If religion enters your life, be happy and grateful for it. If it doesn't, that's life. Don't blame yourself for it. It will come to you when it's the perfect time for it to. Religion chooses you, when you're ready for it.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
