In life, do you swear or affirm that you will tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you god?

Is it important to ask, important to question, and important to answer? In law or real life? Legally and psychologically asked profoundly as we can, inspired by wikipedia.org/wiki/Sworn_testimony oaths.

As an inculcating, pervasive, officiating and self-questioning meme, what answers come to mind?

Like many others, being asked to swear, and affirm, tell truth, and whole truth, and nothing else, and remember God, is a thought in court, and out of court. Sometimes life reminds us to ask, because we ask what we would answer if asked.

tynamite's avatar No. Are you crazy? I would have to be stupid to.

I would never promise not to lie and be honest, because I can't predict the future. Anything could happen in the future, where I'll have to lie to protect someone else. I will only assure you that I've been honest to you in the past.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
