Are there things that humans can never understand?

Is there any science mystery, a behavior of living or non-living things, something in history of universe or something else that the human race can never understand?

  • Consciousness.
  • Free will has been understood

Update

Scientists have yet to discover what exactly "what" makes a living thing conscious. Is it a brain or a heart? Is it Carbon-14? How about single celled organisms? Scientists have watched an embryo being fertilised under a microscope, but there is a time period in that process that goes undetected like magic. We can't even get cloning right.

Scientists will never be able to understand consciousness, because scientists will never be able to understand what makes an object be an animate object, as there is no force at play to investigate.

People have yet to make a unanimous decision about whether free will exists or not. According to psychologists, free will doesn't exist, due to the experiments and research that suggests that we merely react like machines to our stimuli around us under our syncrasies and inate identity, also that we can be programmed. But that view contrasts with the view of scientists, of which states that the universe isn't deterministic, with the guise of the uncertainty principle, voiding fate.

2nd Update

Free will has been discarded by scientists as human decisions have been scientifically proven to be a part of a deterministic process, of which all actions past and future are predetermined in advance, with no breaking the chain process. This is because the unconscious brain begins thoughts and actions before we consciously become aware of it. Meaning what we thought were are controlled exerted choices, are in fact not.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
