Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)
An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.
Richer people have better health.
The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?
And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
Although she has a boyfriend and was the kindest girl out of the whole social group, she was the ugliest too and I didn't find her attractive, so maybe that had something to do with it. Negative body image. Remember she goes to school surrounded by boys! The fact that she was the only girl offering to help me with my maths homework is irrelevant considering how she found it harder to make friends in comparison to other girls because of what she looked like.
Anorexia is a form of depression, and if you look at why people get depressed, it's because of a lack of control. If a person who deems themselves ugly cannot change how they look, the only control they have is how much they eat, and if they eat as little as possible, they can look like the women on magazine covers with the airbrushed waist and the slim women within the pages. The same applies for bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder and normal depression. If a person feels they are stuck in an unescapable situation they have no control over, they get depressed. Depression is about control.
Only irrational people with a mental illness become anorexic, so if someone is mentally ill enough to starve themselves, they are mentally ill enough to kill themselves. It's a myth that they do. le don't care about their health because they do. Unless you've felt like that, you'll never know what it's like.
They don't hate life, they hate themselves.
