Why did Nokia and Intel choose to create Meego (a new Linux based mobile distro) rather than supporting Google's Android?
I know they were already have Maemo and Moblin and merged them into the Meego.
But i couldn't understand the reason of why they're starting all over again, while there was a already big open source mobile platform Android. Don't know much about company policies but maybe they could have help to Android development ?
And after that, there is a huge iOS application penetration on the market and even the Android couldn't catch that app richness even it's used by multi big telefon brands (like HTC,Samsung,Motorola etc..).
Isn't it's too late right now for start all over again ?
What are the benefits of that huge of Meego while under this situations ?

Why did Nokia tie up with Microsoft and snub Google?
