Rich people engaging in philanthropy, is just a form of tax relief to ensure that those rich people pay less taxes. Anyone who is fooled to believe that it's kindness needs to open their eyes. It's a way of moving down a tax bracket and keeping more money to yourself, as they'll have less money to declare. So even if Steve Jobs did engage in public philanthropy, that would still be selfish, don't you think?
