Why is it morally wrong to cheat?

Sure, it "gives an unfair advantage" to one person by definition, but if cheating was okay and everyone did it, wouldn't it even out the playing field?

Note: I'm not talking about cheating in relationships, but rather cheating in tasks in such a way to give you an advantage over others. For that, see Why is it morally wrong to cheat in a relationship?

This is a follow-up question to Should students be encouraged to cheat in school?

tynamite's avatar Africa being robbed of its riches after slavery was abolished, by it being colonised by Europe and America is a form of cheating, and is that right?
Africa and India are impoverished today due to cheating due to corruption from their own government and businesses, and exploitation from other countries. Is that right?

Update: No.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
