How much advertisement money could Wikipedia potentially make if it had ads on the site?

tynamite's avatar Considering that I've seen $6 CPM advertising networks on the internet (the highest cpm I've ever seen) , and that Wikipedia gets an estimated 5.8b page views a month, Wikipedia would get (5.8m x $6) which is $34.8m a month, which is $417.6m a year.

Add in some CPC adverts right before the references in the articles, and I expect that figure to increase by 800% to make $3.340b a year.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
