Which hip-hop/rap artists are the best lyricists?

tynamite's avatar Lil Wayne is one of the best song lyricists but he is wasting his talent by rapping about hoes, niggas and money. In most of his other songs he is just slotting words together and not rapping about anything in particular (A Milli, 6 Foot 7 Foot, etc). If he actually rapped about something topical or emotional, as the song writing skill is there, he would be high up on this list. How can he come out of prison and not have a deep song on Tha Carter IV?

It's interesting how Kanye West is on this list, when he's not as good a song writer as Lil Wayne is. If someone combined Kanye's topical nature, with Lil Wayne's prose style, it would be immence. Could you ever see him freestyling over A Milli or Nightmares of the Bottom? Exactly. He can't. It's just that the worse lyricist raps about better and more intelligent things.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?
