Do many people not have children because they don't like their own genes?

For example, if they have an annoying personality trait, then they might suspect there's a good chance their children would have it too.

And so they might decide not to have children at all.

tynamite's avatar I don't want children because I don't feel I've lived life, and that even though I'm young, others younger than me have gone through a lot more than I have, whereas I have missed out. It has nothing to do with my genes. I'm just not at a stage in life, or mature enough to have them. I'm still stuck in my stage.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
