Why did Apple keep the Siri name for its iPhone 4S personal assistant software?

tynamite's avatar Apple likes to have people believe that they've invented everything. If it was up to them, they would have you believe they invented the phone too as well as the mp3 player and tablet. That's how their marketing works.

By calling their voice recognition technology Siri and not Voice Recognition, it takes something we normally associate with poor results and uselessness, and revamps it, as they do, to something impressive, that in their fanbase's minds, only they could have pulled off.

It's actually very clever.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
