When is Facebook's social games platform for smartphones going to launch?

tynamite's avatar Social games is not a priority for Facebook. They were the by-product when flash game developers realised they could capitalise on Facebook's viral marketing channels back in 2007. Facebook as bigger things to worry about, such as Google+ and their core product. Of course they've made improvements to Games with the Ticker and Full Screen Canvas, as Facebook adapts its product to how people are using it.

Also with Project Spartan (HTML5 website) and their iPad application launching this year, Facebook does not have the time to implement such a thing, and I don't think they ever will.

Facebook Games only work because they can be spread virally on Facebook. When people are on Facebook on their smartphone, they are usually outside with something to do. I suppose that people outside would spend more time checking into Places than they would playing Games if they had that on the iPhone application. So Games work indoors as that passes the time, but not outside as there is no time to pass. Facebook Games on the smartphone could fail for that reason. Facebook would be making a new OpenFeint, Game Center, Xbox Live etc.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
