  • Have your phone transcribe and let you reply to your text messages while driving (voice-to-text)
  • Making a phone call by nickname
  • Turning on the speakerphone

Competition within the semantic technology space is really heating up, and for Microsoft, Bing is a core property of all that. Bing is using Tellme for voice recognition, Powerset for building a database to determine and store contextual meanings, image and audio recognition (Bing Audio and Bing Vision), and possibly utilising Kinect in the near future.

Semantics, and Apple are competing to provide the best semantics, but Apple cannot really compete. Microsoft also has a better R&D. Apple will copy Microsoft's semantic features, as they have from the Mango preview video, and they will do it again.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
