In prison, gay men would have their trousers hanging low as a code to indicate that they were gay. That way, there would be no embarrassment of prisoners going to do things to people, without them being up for it.
When these gay black gangsters came out of prison, the ghetto black youth would see this, and as they look up to the gangsters, they would see it as cool and copy it. Little do they know that they're doing something that originated as a gay code.
Homophobic black parents who know about this, are strongly against their children doing this trend, and they will clamp down on it, if they ever see their children doing any such thing.
