Why can Apple favor their own programs against competitors but Microsoft cannot?
Apple always try to give its own products the advantage by including them with their OS and setting terms that don't let competitors compete on the same playing level, whether its their App store, iTunes, iBooks, iCloud or iAd. Yet Microsoft got sued for including a browser with their OS and so they make sure not to include Windows Live or Security Essentials with Windows. Yet antivirus and backup/sync software are basic components of an OS, so why can't they include them?
Update: It seems Microsoft will be including SkyDrive and Antivirus with Windows 8, so it may be not have been a legal issue preventing them.

Based on sales, Apple and Google have 70% of the smartphone market share, with Android taking up most of this 70%. Apple has the cream, Android has the drink, and the others have the scraps.
This is why Apple isn't subject to anti-competitive lawsuits and regulations.
You could argue that Apple is indirectly helping competition, as without their Orwellian ways of their hugely successful product, you wouldn't have open source alternatives iPhone clones like Android.
Apple is also allowing Android to have a high market share by deliberately making it expensive and giving it network exclusivity. If it wanted to be the number 1 in market share, it easily could be.
