Yes ---> It's a webapp.
No ---> It's not.

Right now webapp is a throwaway term that people are using, without knowing exactly what it means. Some people believe that any popular website that never existed 10 years ago that doesn't deal with articles, is a webapp.
Facebook is not a webapp! If Facebook was one, then that means that forums would be one too, as forums were technically the earliest forms of social networking.

I will give you some examples of what are, and what aren't webapps.
Yes ---> Google Docs, Box.net, Amazon Cloud Player, Pixlr, Avairy, Wunderlist
No ---> Wikipedia, Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, Github, Kongregate, Farmville

You will see websites under the No section categorised as a webapp, as they are the best category for the context of discussion. For example, there are blog which review webapps of different categories. If they were to say no to reviewing social gaming/bookmarking/networking/coding and wikis, that would be ridiculous wouldn't it?

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
