Tynamite's answer

Gay marriage is not a right that will stop gays being oppressed if they are. It's peacemeal change, chicken feed. Basically people campaigned worldwide from the Human Rights Campaign organisation that gave us the red equals sign that went viral, for the right to sign a piece of paper of which one takes another one's surname and one would have to give alimony after you divorce. You don't even get any tax breaks. That's not a right, it's just a technicality that means nothing. Gay marriage will do absolutely nothing to advance gay rights. That's why the media has lapped it up, to appease you and make you feel you've accomplished something when you really haven't, also because the feminist dominated media uses the homosexual agenda and gay marriage as a way to weaken/demonise masculinity and possibly break down the gender binary or traditional sex roles.

Jack Kammer's answer

One of the most important things in the advancement of gay rights was the willingness of more and more gay men to come out of the closet so that more and more people were able to think, "Wow, Joe is gay? I really like Joe. I guess gays aren't so bad after all."

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
