If some animals would develop religion, how would that be? And what animals might be most likely to develop it?

They already barter with goods and use sex as a bargaining tool.
What would happen if religion was introduced, is village mentality.

In the undeveloped times before markets like the stone age, villages would always be rivalising. They would compete with each other for resources such as food, land, and women. Such a thing nowadays in the West is unheard of. You don't see adjacent cities, states or countries at war with each other today.

Religion is a powerful way of controlling masses of people, by modifying their behaviour in such a way that it is welcomed and not held in contempt. This sounds good, considering how religion installs good morals, but the fact that it encourages the spread of it to non-believers and looks down on them, it will leave those people having their atheism to their detriment.

If there's anything innocent about being an atheist in terms of village mentality, then there is nothing innocent about being of another religion. Let's imagine there are multiple religions. If there is a church that provides its members with food and social afluence, people of other religions will be rejected from that.

Now here's where the village mentality starts.

A cult is a society that follows different laws than one of its state, so in a technical aspect, a religion is a cult.

What will happen is that a prophet or preacher will say something devious to make a code that oppresses a group of people, where people who go against the code are publicly harmed and/or outlawed. Some people say that religion makes the world a better place. In an individual micro sense, that is true. But if the powerful preachers could make the world a better place alone through honesty, would they need religion?

What will happen is what always happens with religion. Someone will make a rule that X is bad, whether it be homosexuality sex before marriage, or dressing moderately; and then people will be indoctrinated. The few that feel oppressed, will speak out and will be chastised and excluded. When we see people getting whipped or stoned for religious "crimes" in foreign countries, we dismiss those religions as twisted cults, but we fail to realise that we do the same thing with gay and sexualised people. The only difference, which is a bleakly sad difference, is that we do what we do by pure choice; whereas the people who inflict damage on gays and dolled up women, do so because their society doesn't give them a choice. If they don't do what they're meant to do [inflict damage], something bad will happen to them, and they have to enforce their laws for the leader to maintain the survival of the village against the rival tribe. They don't have a supermarket or proper hospitals that we have, so every gain the rival tribe has, is a loss to their one. The irony of it all.

So that's what will happen. Village mentality. Do you really think they'll adopt human rights, which has only been around for 2000 years out of our 70,000 years of our existence?

PS. To truly make the world a better place, instead of religion we need women to rule the world. Men have a history of oppressing women for being superior, so less oppression and more harmony would help.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
