Will people succeed in justifying paedophilia in the future?

Brought this up after encountering a documentarian of Are All Men Paedophiles who claims that 'eighteen is just a number,' with a tagline that asks 'Do you find me attractive?' with a girl of unknown age in the background. But we have no idea about the girl's true age. Jan-Willem Breure, the documentarian in question, stresses that he chose a young girl "to confront people with the issue" because "for the general guy… she is attractive. But the next question is, if you find her attractive, is that or is that not paedophilia?" But is it really paedophilia, or even hebephilia, if she looks like a woman?

Also, as a side question (or should I create a separate one?), should there be a clear distinction between hebephiles and true paedophiles?

Given many taboos of the past are now being recognised as legal in many places, would it be possible that paedophilia (as we the public understand it) will undergo the same treatment and be recognised as something more than a revulsion?
Gay marriage which was once a taboo to speak about, is a victimless crime.
Employing women which was once a taboo to speak about, is a victimless crime.
Being autistic which was once a taboo to speak about, is a victimless crime.

Paedophilia which was once a taboo to speak about, is not a victimless crime.

I think that says it all.

How about sexual urges? Paedophilia is a sexual orientation. It doesn't imply molesting anyone. How about abstinent paedophiles? It is clearly the case that the definition of the term had been blown out of proportion.

Nobody is going to arrest someone for a thought crime. That would be just ridiculous. Nobody rings the police when 12 year old girls get leered at by men, no matter how old they are.

I agree. So why the stigma? I also remember a quote from someone who once said, 'Today's heresy often becomes tomorrow's orthodoxy.'

By the way, I don't want to start comparing paedophilia to others, but, to prove a point, how about, say, feminism? Feminism was once outraged. It is not a victimless crime. Is it only a matter because women can now freely defend themselves while children cannot?

Feminism is not a victimless crime?

Is it not? I've only deemed it as such considering it's being openly demonstrated in previous generations, so I assume it must have consent.

I cannot see any reason why feminism would create any victims.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
