Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)
An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.
Richer people have better health.
The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?
And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
The only reason why China is prosperous, is because their less developed and prosperous country, made it attractive for Western companies looking to increase their profits through cheap labour. As China has no natural resources of its own, it didn't really have any bargaining power when their workers are paid a pittance, and their government can't really do anything to change that.
If US and China merged, China would move its way up to being the richest country in the world, and the cheap labour that allows your electronics and clothes to get made, would cease to exist. Who else is going to do it? Things would get more expensive, and the economy would suffer.
