What's the best way to prevent yourself from making silly mistakes?

I'm talking about basic what-the-hell-am-I-doing type of errors like transcription errors, incomplete tasks. Just simple bone-head stuff.

tynamite's avatar It looks like you are lacking in common sense. If you want some common sense and awareness about what's going on around you, you should look at things with an open mind. This is all about changing your perception of the world.

The first step is to not be negative or pessamistic. Look out for other people who go through trivial little things, that react and behave better to those things than you do.

The second step is to surround yourself by people, for as much days and times as you can, so you can live the world through other people, rather than inside your head.

The third step is to listen to people without interrupting them, and feel that conversations are a way of sharing ideas, rather than saying what points you want to say.

The forth step is to accept that there are 2 sides to everything and not see things in black and white. Once you have done this, you will be able to think outside of the box.

I do not know the fifth step. I have not even got past step one. I haven't changed. I have no common sense at all.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
