What are illustrators/graphic designers' favorite Adobe Illustrator brushes?

And where can I find them?

tynamite's avatar There is no such thing as an Adobe Illustrator brush. I know someone who freelances for Disney, and they have never used a brush inside Illustrator in their life.

Graphic designers use brushes inside Photoshop, and illustrators use shapes inside Illustrator. It's rare for a graphic designer to use a shape inside Photoshop.
I will clarify what I mean.

Brushes are pixel things that graphic designers use to stamp (not draw) onto their pictures. Here are some examples

If you look carefully at the Soccer one, you will see that Rishi did not use Google Images or any drawing to put the things in the background. Instead he used a brush to stamp it on. There are grunge brushes, buildings brushes, light brushes, graffiti brushes, mountain brushes. All Rishi did is stamp the brush in with the opacity turned down.

Shapes are vector things that illustrators use, to save them time so they don't have to draw things. Here are some examples.

The shape was made in Illustrator, then I imported into Flash.

You can get brushes from deviantART and vector material from Vecto2000 and Free Vectors Daily.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
