Is GFW (Great Firewall) legal in China?

we paid for surfing internet, but we cannot get what we want to get, is it another kind of deprivation of personal liberty?

tynamite's avatar Of course it's legal in China. China can use whatever firewalls it wants. China is autocratic. What sort of laws do you expect?

Really though, there's no law against internet censorship, so there's no real reason why China can't do it.

I don't agree with you,as a Chinese citizen,we have law,and we have lots of issues against law and can't get punished.Actually we have a real law rather than the literal law which ruled ourlife,we could call it a subreal law.GFW is illegal according to the literal law, but it's legal according to the real law. Our literal law is just a toy.

Me

Your country has 2 sets of contradicting laws? That is really bad. It's worse than the United States.

We have only one literal law.But the capacity of power is the real rule, with strong power, you can distort and ignore very much laws.In another world, power can effect law much more than in USA it can do.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
