Is there anything like GFW in US and UK?

GFW is the filtering system used in china， i wonder that is there anything like GFW in US and UK? If yes, what kind of infomation will be blocked in US and UK?

Yes there is. Internet in the UK is filtered by the Internet Watch Federation, which works with all the ISPs to censor child porn.

Virgin Media and BT have been known to stop Zshare download links from working.

A recent development of 2011 is David Cameron proposing to censor social media websites the next time there is a riot.

There is a scheme called Friendly Wifi Scheme which ensures that all Google searches are forced to have SafeSearch on.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?
