I rarely use words that one of my friend never knows what they mean so I have to rephrase my sentence. They never look up the word. When I was a young child I used to use big words on purpose to make me look smart but I stopped that as that made me look pretentious.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?
