You are approached by a friend of a friend who has a business they want to tell you about. They want you to sign an NDA before they'll tell you anything. Do you?

tynamite's avatar Yes you should accept the NDA. There's a 99% chance you won't ever be interested in persuing their idea, so you really don't have anything to lose.

You should not sign NDAs blindly. Lawyers like to put overreaching clauses in stuff you sign. The 1% can hurt, if you switch jobs within the same field.

Me

That's a very good point. Someone could sign an NDA, not get a job, then not be able to get a similar job in the future because they signed the NDA.

In this case it's only a friend thing so I would.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
