Why isn't Google providing a good web hosting service on the lines of GoDaddy?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)
An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.
Richer people have better health.
The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?
And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.

Google is an advertising company as 99% of their revenue comes from advertising. Any free service they provide (Docs/Gmail/Google ) is just a way for them to show more advertising to more eyeballs.60% of the websites with adverts, have Google adverts.
It looks like Google has got the "advertising on websites" market cracked, don't you think?
Google doesn't have to launch a hosting service, as they are making an awful lot of money from having advertisements on websites. Launching a hosting company isn't in their line of business, and it will cause Google to have to become customer-centric and offer better customer support, which for be detrimental to being cost effective.

Google now has a web hosting service called Google Cloud Platform, but I don't recommend you use it, as Google is an intellectual property theft cartel.
