Can subliminal messages make people do bad stuff?

99% of hypnotists cannot make their subject do anything they don't want to do. For example they couldn't hypnotise someone to have sex with them. 99% of scientists/hypnotists/psychologists believe this to be the case?

Does the same thing apply to subliminal messages too?
What is the threshold of bad stuff that people will do once subject to subliminal messages?

I'm asking this because I came across a computer program that flashes subliminal messages on the screen. It comes with different presets like Self Esteem, Personal Development, stop smoking. It made me act all jolted and crazy.

Could it be used to destroy someone too?
