Why did yahoo close its profitable chatrooms?

I want to know why did yahoo close its chatroom servcies?

tynamite's avatar They did with MSN Chat and Yahoo! Games, but Microsoft and Yahoo! both shut them down. MSN Chat was the number 1 chat room on the internet, and they shut it down to save money, as they paid moderators to moderate the rooms.

MSN Chat was the best. They had rooms for every country and major city, as well as for loads of topics.

Update

MSN Chat and Yahoo Chat closed down because paedophiles were using them to have sex with children, and the moderators couldn't stop it, as they were chatting in private messages called a "whisper".

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
