What is the evolutionary role of being a moron?

I'm seeing so many lately, I'm sure evolution must have a reason to create them.

tynamite's avatar IQ is actually falling over time, as our society is becoming less reliant on us using our intelligence. Instead of hunting, or even cooking, we can instead by ready meals from the supermarket. Instead of making tools or being academic, we can instead do unskilled jobs, or even do nothing and have welfare bail us out.

We are getting dumber, as our environment doesn't require us to be as intelligent anymore.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
