If the dominant mainstream American religions were computer operating systems, which system would each religion be?

Is this related to the prevalence of Atheism among tech people?

tynamite's avatar Apple would be Christianity, due to its nature of having devoted followers hailing its praises, and insist on converting others to their ways. Technology is the new religion, as it gives us all the answers - and Apple is the most that way. And Apple has its prophet who is the son of God, and a devil. Even their stores have a holy nature.



Linux would be Buddhism as it promotes selflessness, self worth and morale that comes from a higher and not shallow value, and discourages materialistic behaviour. This is because Linux is Open Source. If there was a similar movement for real life that was accessible, then it would be something that Buddists aim to be.

Windows would be Islam, because it crashes and has a blue screen of death. Nuff said.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
