Why are so many adults lonely even though they were so social when they were younger?

tynamite's avatar Because as a child we feel that we are not made to feel different because of who we are, and adults we then feel that this is not the case. As a child we feel we can happily live among others regardless of their race, social class, wealth, etc. As an adult we learn that this is not the case.

The facts are that we become friends with the people who we can identify with, similarities aside. As we grow up, we find that there are less people we can identify with on a personal level, as people are more different than they once were.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
