Is beer nutritious?

"Beer was not only refreshing but nutritious, it was said—a “valuable substitute for vegetables,” as a member of the United States Sanitary Commission put it during the Civil War."

Man lives on beer alone

J. Wilson of Des Moines, Iowa has just proven that it’s entirely
possible to live on beer alone after he completed a 46-day Lenten fast
on nothing more than every guy’s favorite malted liquor. While many
Christians eschew alcoholic drinks for their Lenten sacrifice, Wilson
denied everything else and stuck to his beer.
...

"It's got that flavor of malt, the flavor of bread, the flavor of toast and a certain amount of creaminess. It's like drinking bread—dark, good bread," Sorensen added. It has about 288 calories and an alcohol content of 6.7 percent.

Wilson documented in a special blog each day of his spiritual journey. He reported losing around twenty five pounds, 12 ounces of the beer around 3-5 times a day his only source of nourishment. Wilson also regularly checked with a doctor and a pastor (it’s a Fast during Lent, after all).

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
