Update

Okay okay! I'm seeing lots of different viewpoints on this, and most of them say that men like to dominate women, and can't stand it when they're not superior to them. I do not believe in this hard-done-by theory, as if gender relations is a game of Reversi (the game where men don't want women to get more circles). I don't think this question should be a matter of sexism, superiority, and misogyny.

I will now expand on how women are different to some men. I'll be saying the things that men are too scared to say. Don't shoot the messenger. ;)

Women are hard to read. It's hard to know what they are thinking, and whether they are approving or dismissive of anything or anyone around them.
It's hard to know how they'll react to any given situation.
What women say isn't always what they mean, or maybe not pronounced enough. They speak in code.
They're better at spotting when men are lying, than they are at spotting when women are lying.
Whatever they do for them in a relationship, it's never enough and they will always want more.
Their adding a layer of complexity to relatively simple things, leaves men confused.
They perform better in social situations.

For some men, women are mysterious questions, of which they place a question mark above their heads, when in their presence. That can explain the Why Do Some Women Do or Like X? topic. It's all due to women having more complicated behavior than me do, not that it's wrong, because it isn't.
