Is it time to retire the term "you guys" when referring to men and women in a group?

Or women calling other groups of women "you guys".

tynamite's avatar Oh sorry I never knew it was offensive to say "you guys" to address everyone in a room, where there's women present.

Next time, I'll say "you guys and girls" instead, and I'll call men "girls" in conversation because it's so much of a complement to be called one!

(I thought women would be happy to be addressed this way. It already is an insult to call someone a girl.)

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
