tynamite's avatar Quick wit is when someone says the right thing at the right time, in such a way, that it throws you off guard, lingers on your mind, and then you remember it.

Common examples you can use in real life situations that you can use, to practise being funny

  • That's what she said!
  • You got that right!
  • You can say that again!
  • Your mum wouldn't think so.
  • You don't say!

Here's some real life examples I've taken from my life

“I don't mind having false teeth, as it means I won't have to look after them."

“If butter didn't make you fat, and sugar didn't rot your teeth; I would have butter and sugar every day.”

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
