Do you think your self-reflection is productive? How do you define productive in this instance?
I often think about my self, but rarely do I feel that such thinking is productive. Additionally what constitutes a productive thought is beyond me. I tend towards a recognize-it-when-it-occurs model.

The good, being the love I received and the stuff I got done. The bad, being when others around me were upset about stuff, or if I'm distancing myself from them by doing (or not doing) something that I'm not aware of.
I like to contemplate my thoughts at the end of the day, so that I can be self-aware. It is important for me to be self-aware, so that I can better get along with people, and not upset or distance myself from others unintentionally.
If I didn't do this, I would isolate myself from the people who care about me.
Not only does it let me look in retrospect about when others were sad, but it also allows me to think about when I made people happy, and let me have self-esteem by knowing what good traits I possess, and what good things I can do around people, and maybe for them (not!), in the future.
