Why don't men like asking for directions?

Because it's harder for them to get people to listen.
The more you think about it, the more sense it makes.

My opposing personal exception
I ask for directions all the time when I can't find places that I've looked for.

Some people on road look wrapped up in the own world , or not receptive to their surroundings because they're in a rush with somewhere to go.

Sometimes it's putting myself in the deep end to ask certain people for directions, because I know in advance by reading them, that they won't know where the directions are, or be able to help. But I do ask anyway if there's no one else left to ask, as shyness has never done me any favours.

My shyness was so extreme as a child, that I would be abnormally mute most of the time, so I forced myself to break out of that when I was 7. So now I know how to approach people as I made myself confident. Regret is one of the worst feelings in the world, because you can't change the past, so I don't want to be the one who blames myself for the actions I never done.

Asking for directions doesn't make me look like any less of a man. That's just a stupid stereotype that women made up, to get men to do what they want. There's nothing wrong with that. Helping women is good. Women aren't invalids. They don't get men to help them out with stuff often, so I don't really mind what help they ask me to do stuff.

And also, asking for directions has nothing whatsoever to do with what women want. It only affects me, and not them, so I won't care what they think if they see me do it. As long as I'm not "wet", that's all that matters. You'll never see me cry watching a Disney movie.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
