Why is philosophy not as popular as Science?

Right now, there are 12090 followers to the Philosophy topic, and 83298 followers to the Science topic. Why is that? What's Science got that Philosophy ain't got! You'd think on the internet, a system of knowledge sharing, there would be just as many people wanting to know about thinking as there would be people wanting to know about the measure of the world around them. Is Philosophy that boring, that dreadful? Why isn't Philosophy as popular as Science?

Because you can see the effects of science around you, but philosophy, not so much.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
