Is describing something as "ghetto" politically incorrect?

For example, if you saw a jank ride, could you call it "ghetto"?

tynamite's avatar It isn't politically incorrect to describe something as ghetto, as it's much better than describing something as black (ahem), no, because it describes an attitude that one can adopt for their behaviour and attitude.
However as with all words, their context of how they are used is important.

Some people can be racist by making dismissive comments towards a culture, by using the word ghetto. I know of such a prejudiced person. She told an asian man not to listen to rap music because it's ghetto. But to describe something as ghetto, isn't politically incorrect or racist, because it's something that can be changed.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
