What is missing in the world of online sharing?

I am an avid sharer of content online and a big fan of collaborative consumption. What is the biggest problem with online sharing of content and/or offline sharing of stuff?

tynamite's avatar What is missing in the world of online sharing, is not a change in the sharing mechanism, as sharing will always evolve and be fundamentally sharing, no matter how the future progresses or how far back into the past we get.

RSS // News Feed // Ifttt // Email // Private Messages // Subscribe // ????? // ????????

What is missing, is a NEW TYPE OF WEBSITE, full of user generated content or "moments", that brings a whole new crowd, different to the crowds of Twitter/Reddit/Quora/4chan, and allows people to make content and cultivate others in a WHOLE NEW WAY.

So many startups today are trying to do this. Most will fail, only a few will survive.

Here's some of them I can think of.

  • Branch
  • Pinterest
  • Pivory
  • Snapchat
  • Path



I hope to add my startup to the list, later on in the future.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
