My brother told me something wise one day. I was talking to him about all the people in my life that I wasn't going to see again because the passage of time had moved them away from me. And he replied "If they don't leave you, you leave them." And I was dumbstruck for several minutes, as there are many people who I've drifted apart from, which were of my causing. I thought about the people who I chose or allowed myself not to see again, and how sad others would feel about it. Finally I thought about maybe saying hello to someone from the past on Facebook Chat, and after a few moments I thought "Nah!" How ironic.
How can I become better at moving on from interpersonal relationships?
