tynamite's avatar I have minority views. So much so, that there's 2 questions here asking why I'm always downvoted, with another question related to that. I've been called a troll who posts controversial answers, and there's also a question here asking whether I'm a sociopath.

Because I have minority views, my answers don't attract much upvotes, and it's disheartening because it feels like I'm pouring water into the sea.

Leaving the community is something I did do when my friend here 2 years ago got an admin to temporarily ban me after an argument, and I had received no explanation for the ban coupled with me being collapsed a lot, so it was bullying.

Until this year Quora, the number 1 followed topic was Startups, and survey questions weren't allowed until 2 years ago, so the site was very concentrated with many questions about the same things instead of being diverse, so it was very easy for me to accrue thousands of answers. I can't do that now as the questions are too diverse for my skill set to cover. I'll be answering more selectively from now on.

Some people on the site have missed by absence, who would encourage me to return. They say that my answers are refreshing to read as they're different from the hive mind. Although I did get the most questions on my IAmA thread, I'm not considered a "celebrity" here yet. I think the whole site is elitist with its Top Writers and upvoting rings anyway, so I'm not really bothered about that. How can every admin be a Top Writer? I'm an argumentative person, but I can't really argue with people on Quora in the same way I would in real life, as they have Be Nice Be Respectful rules. I've been rude to people here several times.

How do I deal with it? Just pretend it don't exist!

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
