I was just Facebook friended by the girl I'm dating; is there anyway of side-stepping this?

It seems that most people respect the 'let's wait and see if this goes anywhere' grace period before one person sends the other a friend request.

I'm not hiding anything but I think it leads people to rake through someone's profile to learn things about them when that's what dating is for.

Any suggestions for how to side-step this without seeming like i'm hiding something (or hiding her from someone)?

tynamite's avatar Create a Facebook friend list called Girlfriend that is non-existent on your profile page. Accept your girlfriend's friend request, add her to the Girlfriend list, and block her from seeing particular photo albums and statuses that you have.

The best part is that the Girlfriend friend list only has 1 person in it!
Don't forget to setup your privacy settings for that list before you add her as a friend.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
