Why don't Quora users spend more energy on answer summaries?

I write a lot of them and find that they offer a lot of bang for the buck: one or two sentences that summarize discussion fairly and reside at top of the thread.

tynamite's avatar Because lots of questions here talk about personal experience or speculate on future possiblities, so to give an Answer Wiki for something not factual, would be misleading, as you wouldn't be able to understand the opinions at hand.

Imagine of all my answers were incorporated into an Answer Wiki. How bad would that be? That would reduce people's understanding on the topic, as they wouldn't feel to understand another point of view, especially as I can't always be right.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
