How does Quora make product decisons?

Are features "owned" by individual employees, or is it more of a consensus? For example, who came up with Boards, Credits, the "new Profile", etc.?

tynamite's avatar Are you asking me whether Quora product design decisions are autocratic?

Some software companies like Microsoft (company) are run democratically, where each product team has full control over the product's general direction. And some software companies are autocratic like Facebook (product), where the product team has little control over product decisions regarding the direction of the product talking about a feature set, but lots of control over various other little things within in the product that you see or don't see.

I'm not going to be the one to stick my foot in it, so read the responses from Quora founders regarding the light coloured header bar redesign, and figure it out for yourself.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
