What would Quora's CPM/CPC be if it started running ads today?

tynamite's avatar It will be much more than $6 CPM, the highest CPM I've seen. I can tell you that.
The outgoing traffic potential for Quora is immensely and abnormally huge.

I wrote a blog post last year, just to answer this question how can i change the history of the year, and I am still getting visitors from that post from Quora now, and trackbacks from other blogs which are linking to and quoting my blog.

All Quora needs to do is add a 140 character text advert underneath the top voted answer, and gold will be struck.

Michael

I hear you on the potential for outgoing traffic. It leads to an easy comparison to Wikipedia, which many people rely on as a good starting point for what they're looking for.

But like Wikipedia, perceived legitimacy of content is paramount to Quora's success. Anything that dilutes that legitimacy is bad for the product since it's "knowledge-based." Ads of the type you've imagined may run counter to these notions.

Then again, they could just try it and if it doesn't work take them back down.

Youtube isn't profitable because advertisers don't want their adverts on cat videos. Advertisers will want their adverts on the top rated answer.

What's an assertion, and what should I type in?

Compesh is a question and answer (and debate) website, so before you make a debate, you better learn what an assertion is. I suppose you already know what a question is, and that you've typed it in the box. ;)

An assertion, is basically a statement you can make, that is either true or false.

Richer people have better health.

The question for that would be, Do richer people have better health?

And don't forget to make your assertion, match your question.
